Eclipse Woodfired Gaiwan

Those gaiwans are made of fine clay and  woodfired in Dehua, China, standing out for the lovely and delicate shapes . Being fired for 3 days and nights in the kiln, the appearance of the white clay moves between light grey and orange with micro crackles around depending on where in the kiln it was positioned, manifesting a nice visual contrast . We are sure that you may feel relaxed after just looking at it on your tea table.

Please note that due to the nature of wood fired and handmade pieces, each piece is one of a kind and the appearance differs from each other slightly. We will select one for your order randomly.

The gaiwans hold approximately 100ml of liquid. Pinched out slightly, the rim is extremely thin and easy to pour out the tea, and thin enough to prevent the fingers from the heat as well. .As the inside is not glazed, we recommend dedicating those gaiwans to a kind of tea to help improve the taste of the same tea with long-term use, as most of zisha teapots are treated.
