Eclipse Woodfired Teapot

These teapots are made of fine clay and woodfired in Dehua, China. Being fired for 3 days and nights in the kiln, the appearance of the white clay moves between grey and orange with micro crackles around depending on where in the kiln it was positioned, manifesting a nice visual and textural contrast. Those vitrified teapots are also stunning with a speckle effect of matte grey dots. We are sure that you may feel relaxed after just looking at it on your tea table.

Due to the nature of wood-fired and handmade pieces, each piece is one of a kind and the appearance differs from each other slightly. Please refer to the photos and select the one right for you.

Each teapot is able to hold roughly 160ml liquid. Multi-holes ball filter strains the tea in the spout which ensures a smooth pour without any drips. As those teapots are being fired over 1300℃ for 3 days and nights in the kiln,  the lid is not as fitting as the zisha teapot, but it won't affect use during the process of tea brewing. 

Please note that as each teapot is not glazed on the inside, we suggest the use of the teapot devote it to a kind of tea for better “nourishing”. Therefore the taste of tea will be improved gradually after long-term brewing the same tea in the teapot. For these reasons, it shall not be washed using detergents, but rather water only.
